t was back in May 2021 that we first spoke to the two bright sparks behind
Greystones’ first-ever glamping site.
James Connolly from Tinakilly House had the know-how and experience; John Byrne from The Beach House had the perfect plot of seaside grass.

The La Touche Hotel sadly shut its doors on May 22nd, 2005.
That makes it 18 years since Greystones last had an actual hotel. Yowsa.
Which made the official opening of the Greystones Glamping site down at the harbour – a mere two years and three months after that initial idea – a very happy one, this welcome addition to the town meaning that we no longer have to put up with annoying relatives or pushy visitors squatting in the
spare room.
These chic bell tents are on raised decks and come complete with not only your own private bathroom and king-sized bed but heaters, electric blankets and a free arty, hearty breakfast at La Crêperie Pierre Grise next door.
