Happy out… 23MAY21
uring a time when the landscape of Greystones has been changing drastically, it’s reassuring
that some of its characters never change.
People you can rely on to have a story, to raise a smile – someone you could set your watch to.
People like Ellen Clancy, one of Blacklion’s finest, standing at the
gate of her flower-showered cottage, having a chat with passers-by, or popping next door to make sure Daisy had everything she needed. And through it all, her faithful dogs merrily by her side.
Each one waiting patiently for their turn in the buggy. After the grandkids, of course.

You can catch our August 2016 video chat with Ellen right here, and catch up with one of those nephews, Brian, from March 2017 here.
In the meantime, here’s the rip notice…
Ellen Clancy (née Lawless) of Blacklion, Greystones, Co. Wicklow. September 27th 1956 ~ October 6th 2025. Heartfelt thank-you to Dr Brendan Cuddihy for his unwavering commitment, dedication and constant friendship over many years, we as a family can never thank him enough. Pre-deceased by her beloved parents Seán and Una Lawless (née Madden).
