Family In Sepsis Shock Appeal

t was three days after a dog bite that Aidan Losach was rushed to hospital with sepsis shock.

The dog in question was fully vaccinated and a friend’s ‘regular little pet’.

Which meant his pregnant wife, Jeannie, and their two young children, have had to adapt to a frightening situation, with life-saving surgery leaving Aidan in a coma for two weeks.

Two months later, and recovery is slow, with Aidan yet to fully regain consciousness or physical movement. The medical professionals have said that he will be in hospital for at least six months or possibly a year.

Meanwhile, between hospital visits, Jeannie is caring for their two children – and continuing to build the family’s dream home in south Wicklow.

Which is why her best friend, Karla, set up a GoFundMe page, which has so far raised €37,000 of its €100,000 goal.

Aidan had been single-handedly working on the house for the past two years, and had gotten to the stage of roof and windows being fitted. A week before he was rushed to hospital, the family were also at the final stages of mortgage approval. Mortgage approval that Jeannie can now not get approval for on her own.
