ust got some late, late word from the mighty Nicky Cox, as he steams into town once again on one of his beloved old trains.

Passing through Greystones today, Wednesday 10th, and Thursday 11th, there are plenty of people around here loco about locomotives.

So, get down there early if you want to get some decent photosnaps.

The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland in conjunction with Steam Dreams are running their Emerald Isle Explorer 9-day tour around Ireland hauled by vintage steam train.

On Wednesday 10th May at 12:02, steam loco No. 85 Merlin passes Greystones, light engine (without carriages) heading for Wexford. Also on Wednesday 10th May, at 14:02, an Irish Rail diesel locomotive with carriages passes Greystones heading for Wexford.

Then on Thursday 11th May at 12:27, Irish Rail diesel locomotive light engine passes Greystones heading for Dublin.

Then finally on Thursday, between 12:45-12:58, Merlin, with carriages, stops in Greystones before going to Dublin.

This is a charter train so no passengers can board the train on these dates but people would be welcome to come see the train passing through Greystones on the various dates.

It is both dangerous and illegal to trespass on railway property so if you do decide to come out to watch, please do so from a safe location.
