On Friday, Holy Rosary Parish held a highly successful golf competition and dinner at Greystones Golf Club.

It was a full house, and the organisers were delighted with the weather and the excellent conditions of the course.

The event began with a 9am shotgun start for half of the 29 teams and concluded with the prize giving and dinner at 7.30pm. Everyone enjoyed the evening along with the opportunity to win a pair of rugby tickets to Joe Schmidt’s last game in Ireland when he brings Australia to play Ireland in the Aviva stadium in November.

Big thanks to Barry and Eileen McCleary, Mark Kinsella for sponsoring first prize in the golf, and The Gowan Group. Also special thanks to Jim Melody of Greystones Golf Club for all the support and help!

Fr. Bernardo, who was standing in for Fr. Des Hayden, thanked the Parish Team, including Michael Cawley, William O Connell and Ciara Marimon for organising the event along with recognising all the sponsors and local businesses for their generosity in supporting the day.

He also took the time to thank all those who give of their time on an ongoing basis to make a difference in their community especially in Holy Rosary Parish.
