t’s a big, happy day for Yvonne McSorley – aka Greystones Momma – today, so it’s understandable this wily baker is ever-so-slightly stoked.

Having started out five years ago as a playgroup for a circle of friends, the reputation of Yvonne’s ridiculously yummy vegan treats has grown to the point that they can now be found in the likes of the Killruddery Grain Store and our own Nature’s Gold.

And the reason today is so dang special is that from right about now, Greystones Momma can also be found in Daly’s SuperValu on the town’s main drag.

“Paddy and Ann at SuperValu have just been so wonderful,” says Yvonne when we meet up this afternoon at the always-busy Plaza Market. “I thought there would be a load of red tape to deal with but, they simply said they loved what I was doing, and they would be more than happy to have Greystones Momma on their shelves…”

Spot the vegan…

These home-baked goodies actually popped up on the SuperValu shelves yesterday, and before the day was out, they were sold out.

Which let’s you know that Yvonne is clearly doing something right, her mission to prove that going vegan isn’t a cry for kelp hitting home with more and more people. Everybody loves delectable and delicious treats.- and if they can actually be made with only pure, natural ingredients, well, win agus win!

And eating this healthy clearly works wonders, as mum-of-three Yvonne proves.

And that Ringo lad too, of course, who looks about 30 years younger than his own son.
