to see why.
Give someone a camera, let them loose in picturesque Greystones, and there’s a very good chance magic will ensue.

downside to our annual Greystones Rocks photography competition is not being able to give every entry that 1st place rosette.
Suffice to say, there’s beauty at every turn. But who will take the Brian Keeley crown for 2025, after the votes are in and the judges have weighted up all the merits and magic involved here?
And if celebrating the beauty of this town gives you a kick, you can take a jump back to Greystones Rocks 2017 here, 2018 here, 2019 here, 2020 here, 2021 here, 2022 here, 2023 here and 2024 here. Each one a reminder of just how lucky we are to live here.
We’ve also got to give a shout-out to our sponsors for this annual competition, McGovern Estates, putting people on the Wicklow map every single day.
Running every September, this photo competition is the perfect way to chart what has changed around here, and to embrace what hasn’t. The winner each year is decided by the public vote and our three judges.
So, get out there, and get your kicks with a little happy snapping for next year’s competition. Full gallery of this year’s entries in hi-res here.
You can also jump back through the previous galleries right here. We’ll have the winner announced shortly.

I believe a photo can capture the personality of a city. Matthew’s ‘Something Fishy’ shows that Greystones is more than just a peaceful place—it’s also home to people with adventurous hearts. It conveys strength.
Johanna McFireball, hopefully this is the vote that clinches it for you.
