Greystones Secondary Schools Lay Out Admissions Plan

The Principals of Greystones Community College, St David’s Holy Faith Secondary School and Temple Carrig School have worked together over the past number of weeks in planning for First Year Admissions 2025.

As of Tuesday October 1st, the applications process for 1st year 2025 has gone live and parents have three weeks in which to apply for school places in 1st year 2025. Over the course of the next eight weeks, the three schools will be making offers to several hundred Sixth Class pupils.

The admissions policies and admissions notices are published on the individual school websites.

As was the case in previous years, the three schools will continue to work together to ensure that families accept only one school place in order to maximise the number of places for as many children as possible.

Our advice to 6th class parents at this time continues to be that it is essential that parents of children in Greystones and Delgany submit applications to all three schools before the closing date for applications.

There are three excellent post primary schools in Greystones and the three principals will work together to manage the admissions process. There will be regular communication and dialogue among the principals to ensure there is no duplication of accepted places.

The principals will meet monthly to go through any waiting lists that remain to work in the best interests of the children of Greystones and Delgany.

It is imperative if you are in the fortunate position of being offered multiple places, you only accept one place and inform the other schools that you wish to decline the offer.
