t was whilst researching a new biodiversity report on Greystones earlier this week that we stumbled upon the work of Rafal Rozalski.
Having moved to Ireland in 2006, it didn’t take long for this Polish landscape photographer to fall in love with our picturesque county.
As his many glorious Wicklow shots right about here (and featured below) prove.
“Through my photographs,” explains Raf, “I try to show the emotions that accompanied me at that particular place and time. Photographing landscapes all over Ireland is a real challenge, given the unpredictable weather, but that’s half the joy too. You never know what light you’re going to get…”
And now, Raf has added another string to his bow, the addition of a drone opening up a whole new perspective on the Irish landscape.
“Flying above the sea around Greystones, you get to see this wonderful town like never before,” he says. “I moved here last October, and it’s been a real spark for my work. Even though I’m constantly out photographing, I feel that there’s always something new each and every time.”
