Hogwarts’ Starry Night

Here comes the starry night…

t Catherine’s art teacher Ashling McNamara has lined up something special to get kids sparked and spooked for 2023.

Namely, a painting workshop for wizards and witches aged 6 to 12, happening on January 3rd and 4th.

Entitled A Starry Night At Hogwarts, this is all about magic, and mayhem – and making some groovy art.

Over to Ashling…

This is a great opportunity for budding artists who are also Harry Potter fans to learn painting techniques in the style of Van Gogh’s Starry Night, with a Hogwarts spin.

Skills such as colour mixing, brush control and building texture will be explored working onto canvas whilst trying to capture the whomping willow outline or the quidditch rings silhouetted against the starry sky.

Baba-SHAZAM! Those attending should bring a packed lunch. And some old clothes that won’t mind be splattered with paint.

Taking place at St Catherine’s School in Newcastle on Tuesday 3rd of January and Wednesday 4th from 10am to 3pm, it’s €50 for the day, with a discount for siblings. And real-life witches and wizards.
