reystones’ sunniest art historian Rosemarie Devereux is bringing her most-loved 6-week course back for October.

Having run at both the National Gallery of Ireland and at The Whale, The Visual Story Of Ireland will be running at the former for Wednesday and Saturday mornings from the 15th and 19th respectively.

“Each week a relevant theme will be examined and discussed in front of 6 different paintings,” says Rosemarie. “The objective being to familiarise ourselves with the artists and artworks that chart Ireland’s road from colonised state to independent nation, and to examine the complex environment in which significant artworks were produced.”

After which you’ll have well and truly earned your cuppa agus cake.

Running from 11.15am to 12.45pm each Wednesday (for Course A) and Saturday (Course B) from October 15th and 19th, the cost of the full 6-week course is just €60.
