here was dancing, there was diddley-aye, there was ice cream, live music,
balloons, gymnastics, crafts, flowers and local election hopefuls aplenty.
Most importantly, there was sun. Lots and lots of lovely sun.
It made this year’s Irish Goa Day feel very much like a party, with a
great big happy turnout for the annual shindig in Burnaby Park.
On the music front, alongside top Goan band Tidal Waves, there was Bray troubadour Robbie Doyle and, behind the wheels of steel, DJ Ernest.
There was also mouth-watering traditional Goan, Indian and Irish cuisine,
a flea market, and a kids play area – plus a mega raffle for a trip to Portugal.

They also want to build an affordable nursing home for the older Goa population around these here parts.
So it’s only fair that the brains behind it all, Milla Hancock and Nora Hayden, should be presented with bouquets for their hard work.
