It’s All About That Bassoon

We’d often wondered about the quiet guy with the big single-barrel jazz pipe as we passed him on Greystones main street…

Such an eclectic instrument – the bassoon believed to be a mutation of the 16th-century dulcian – deserves some eclectic music, and the jazz repertoire floating along Church Road when our friend here is in full flight adds a truly exotic twist to the air.

Naturally, the man with the golden if misshapen trumpet is somewhat eclectic too, Mykolas [pretty much pronounced Michael] have made his way here from Lithuania. Via Tallaght, we think.
