Some of you may have noticed already, but, we do a fair bit of running around on an average day here at GG HQ…
Whether it’s gathering old tales from days gone by or finding out about some smart creation from one of Greystones’ new breed, often, by the time we’re home and done posting, Max and I are fit only for a half-hour sitcom and then bed.
So, it’s important to turn off the engine on occasion, and just let the day roll gently down the hill for a stretch.
Such a moment was today, passing along the South Beach, on our way from distributing this week’s gig guide poster along the main street to swinging up to Temple Carrig and co to inform the kids about our free colouring competition.
It was the birds that did it (I’m a sucker for a flock of birds in flight) and the twilight bouncing from sky to sea down at Ballygannon.
So, if you’re finding your day is going a little too fast for you to keep up, take a second or two, and just stand still on the South Beach.
If there’s a tipple within arm’s reach, all the better…
