World champion boxer Katie Taylor, accompanied by her husband, Sean, visited Tiglin Men’s Centre in Ashford where she met with residents currently taking part in Tiglin’s residential rehabilitation programme.

During her visit, Katie spoke openly about her journey to becoming the undisputed women’s world champion. She shared not only her successes but also the challenges she faced along the way. Katie highlighted the importance of perseverance, discipline, and faith, encouraging the residents to work hard, stay focused, and trust in God.

Katie grew up in Bray, County Wicklow, and developed a passion for boxing from an early age. Her message of resilience and determination deeply resonated with those in the room, many of whom are working to rebuild their lives after struggling with addiction.
