The gang’s all here…

ll the beautiful people – and a few ugly chancers – were out on de town last night for the opening of Greystones’ latest eaterie.

And with a slow-burning but highly effective Instagram build-up, expectations were sky high.

Luckily, this being the McLoughlins – the clan who run Bochelli’s – Sonny’s did not disappoint.

And you could see it on the faces of Declan and Nuala, and their three kids, Shay, Aaron and Jason. More than just smart buggers, their long-gestating dreams and schemes had finally come together, just the way they wanted it.

Somewhere between gourmet and fast food, between an American diner and an Armenian early house, Sonny’s aims to be a cut above whilst also delivering burgers, Tex Mex and beyond.

And despite the Instagram build-up, it’s not just for hipsters, with a bulging menu that will have the entire family salivating.

Which is pretty much why our no.1 roving photographer John McGowan was so eager to catch the big opening night party – where there might just be some free food…
