hen we spoke with Greystones mum Rebecca in March, her battle against Stage 4 Endometriosis was going pretty well.

Rather than sit back and hit the pain with drugs, the lady decided to join hubby Aleks in fighting it with fitness.

To the point that this self-confessed cardio bunny picked up the Overall Champion trophy and the Bikini First Time 2022 gong at the Republic Of Ireland Body Building Federation’s Spring Classic.

And a few weeks after we spoke, Rebecca also, somewhat unsurprisingly, picked up silver in the Bikini Fitness category at the IFBB European Championships in Santa Susanna.

Yowsa.

Having just moved her small family to Spain, this Saturday, it’s the RIBBF Irish Nationals competition that Rebecca has in her sights.

“If I win, I will not only be the Irish National Bikini Fitness Champion of 2022,” she tells the Guide, “but I will also qualify for an IFBB Pro Card, moving me from the amateur league to the pro league.”

And two weeks after Saturday’s competition, there’s Santa Susanna again, where Ms Tarasevskij will be representing Ireland in the IFBB World Cup.

Update: Somewhat unsurprisingly, Rebecca strutted away with the Overall National Bikini Fitness Champion title and is now the newest IFBB Elite Pro Athlete. Boom!
