Each year, it’s a sure sign that Christmas is upon us each when the hearty coral of Lakers carol singers gather on Greystones main street.
There was the usual motley crew of crooners, crusties and cuddlesome christians on display, each singing their hearts out for the mighty Bray charity.
And in among all the warblers was the mighty Serendipity Chorus and the town’s unofficial mayoress, the mighty Mrs Mooney, Bridie bringing a touch of much-needed class and gravitas to proceedings.
In truth, everyone here was a legend of one sort or another, giving over valuable Christmas shopping hours on the last Saturday of the silly season for a very worthy cause.
Speaking of which, big shout-out, as always, to John McGowan, for taking a big chunk of his seasonal Saturday to capture the big Lakers love-in once again…
