Craftspeople like the mighty Mette at AMOC Jewellery.

With the Greystones shop now in its 23rd year, it would be fair to say that Mette has gotten the hang of this handcrafted jewellery thing. Which is why she keeps getting invited to fancy pants exhibitions like this.

Running from January 31st to February 8th, the whole shebang is really free, baby, and the blurb goes a little something like this…

The Head, Heart and Hands showcase is a vibrant celebration of our county’s exceptional craft talent. Running throughout the month of February and beginning over the St. Brigid’s Day weekend, this exhibition highlights the deep connection between Wicklow’s cultural heritage and the modern creativity of its craftspeople.

This free exhibition offers a unique opportunity for the public to engage with the work of 41 talented practitioners represented on the Made in Wicklow platform. The showcase features a stunning array of works across diverse disciplines, including ceramics, textiles, woodcraft, jewellery, and metalwork.

Located in the historic Entrance Hallway of Powerscourt House, Enniskerry the exhibition serves as a comprehensive look at the skill and dedication of the makers who define the Garden County’s creative landscape. Visitors are invited to explore these high-quality, hand-crafted pieces in a setting that perfectly mirrors the elegance and tradition of the crafts on display.
