I am delighted to announce over €8.2 million in Government funding for County Wicklow in 2026 to make our communities safer and more connected.

A total of €7m is being allocated under Active Travel Projects to tackle congestion and improve safety in our towns and villages including:

• Bray: €300k for the new DART Interchange plaza & €315k for the Deerpark Cycle Link.

• Wicklow Town: €500k for the new Active Travel Bridge to the Train Station.

• Blessington: €500k for the Main Street to Deerpark scheme.

• Greystones/Delgany: €600k for Killincarrig Village Enhancement & €200k for Seafront to Charlesland.

• Safe Routes to School: Major upgrades for schools including Kilmacanogue NS, St. Brigid’s Greystones, and St. Colman’s Cloyne.

A total of €1.25m is being allocated under Greenways funding for Wicklow to further develop major routes which includes:

• €300k to continue developing the Greystones to Wicklow Greenway.
• €350k for the Kilmacanogue to Southern Cross Road link.
