t would take at least 10 strong men and an overweight child to move the marble altar at the bottom of Redford Cemetery.

Which makes the fact that someone – or something – did move it all the more mysterious.

With the gates unlocked day and night, the possibilities of what actually happened here are numerous. Did someone working in the cemetery reverse into the altar? Did 10 strong men and an overweight child meet for a muscle challenge?

Or, more likely, in the dead of night, did someone try to steal what is, after all, a very expensive slab of marble?

That there’s no real damage marks suggests that whatever caused this marble table top to move from its supports did so with a certain amount of care, and without any kind of sudden impact.

This looks more like an attempted heist with a crane.

A crane that quite possibly proved just too weak for such a heavy lift.
