Responders’ Annual Quiz Night 2024

And the way they might look at ya…

ou know spring is fully underway when The Greystones Community First Responders annual Table Quiz comes around…

Always a full house, this is the town’s chance to have de craic – whilst, you know, helping save a life or two…  

The great Responders have been in existence since 2006, a group of local volunteers working with the National Ambulance Service to provide an early response in the provision of primary life-saving support to people who have called 999/112 and requested an emergency ambulance.

So, you know, respect.

Something there was plenty of on display last night as the quiz master general Mike Morrissey unleashed his latest tirade of trivia twisters, aided and abetted, as always, by his trusty sidekick, Aaron.

As one of the gang, Ross Thompson, pointed out, our Community Responders are all volunteers, and this registered charity relies solely on monies raised on nights like this to fund their equipment and public access defibrillators placed around Greystones.

And while we have you there, on Tuesday, April 16th, there will be a First Responders Appreciation Evening at Carraig Eden, from 7pm to 8pm, with stories, demos, sign-ups and, most importantly, treats.
