he sun was shining down upon the many fit and hot-to-scull contestants in today’s Greystones Rowing Club Regatta 2018.

Exactly who, what, where and when were the hottest at, eh, sculling, we’re not quite sure yet.

Young John Byrne hasn’t sent us through the results yet.

And there hasn’t been an entry on the Greystones Rowing Club since April 2016. 

So, let’s pretend that Greystones, being the gracious hosts that they always are, deliberately let the visitors win a feckin’ load of races, but – fingers crossed – we did win a few ourselves.

Only, you know, when the likes of Dalkey, Skerries and all the rest had gone home. So as not to embarrass them.

It worked last year, and the year before that, and there’s no reason to believe that it wouldn’t work again this year.
