After a turkey and ham draw each Saturday for the past few weeks, last night was the big one, with the likes of a Ping G440 7-piece iron set worth €1,300 (courtesy of Halpenny Golf), ham plus bottles of Jameson along with red and white wine (courtesy of SKC Providers), two all-Ireland hurling tickets (sponsored by Éire Óg), 4-ball at Portmarnock Golf Club and €100 alongside a hamper of turkey and ham plus bottles of Jameson, gin and vodka (courtesy of William Doyle).

The big prize was €1,000 plus a turkey and ham hamper, courtesy of Renewables Ireland, with the luckiest fecker on the night being Liam Moran. Following close behind were Patricia Penston, Freya Nolan, Betty Lang, Martin O’Rourke, Emma Swan, Oliver Leonard, Michael Twomey and Oisin Keogh, along with someone called Sunshine, someone called Ampee, John & Julie, and a name that pretty much reads as Squiggle Byrne.
Do they get doctors to sell these tickets?
Well done to everyone involved, and to Pat at The Carraig for sponsoring the competition once again. All monies raised are going to mighty, almighty Wicklow Hospice.
