here are many, many ways to raise funds for a worthy charity, from running 500 miles to chopping off all your beautiful flowing locks.

One of the least painful ways to shake that money maker though is about to hit Greystones on September 26th – and it’s for a very worthy charity indeed.

For it is on this happy Tuesday, departing at 5.30pm from Greystones harbour, there will be a cruise along the coast to Dun Laoghaire.

And it’s all in aid of St Vincent de Paul.

Which feels very much like a win-win to us.

This one-off Cruise For A Cause is being put together by Dublin Bay Cruises, with the good ship St Bridget taking in Bray Head, Killiney Bay and Dalkey Island before docking at Dun Laoghaire.

Where, we hear tell, there might be a fine restaurant or two. Along with the strong possibility of a late night bar too.

Happening on Tuesday, September 26th at 5.30pm, this 1hr and 45min cruise costs €45 per person, with 100% of the proceeds going to St Vincent de Paul.
