With a series of bridges that will circumvent any trouble spots

An artist impression of a new Cliff Walk Sea Bridge
s the closure of much of The Cliff Walk reaches its two-year anniversary,
Wicklow County Council have finally announced a future-proof plan for its reopening.
whilst also providing walkers with exciting new views of this nationally recognised and much-loved Wicklow walk.
The only question being, of course, how much of The Cliff Walk should be rerouted out to sea.
Designed by Droichead Bréige in Connemara, work is due to start this summer, with the hope of a spring 2025 reopening of The Cliff Walk.

April Fool
I suppose that they could plant the walk with spaghetti trees so that people could snack as they walk.
As crazy an idea as this is, and as an AF gag, it’s still a lot more plausible than any solution Wicklow Co Go is likely looking at, and more plausible than them re-opening the Cliff Walk this decade – instead of the lazy route they’ve taken to try to shut it down for ‘health & safety’ / ‘insurance’ reasons…
