Andrew Maher was more than a little restless.
The man needed something to occupy his mind, a new sensation that would make sense of all this wasted time.
And that’s when the lad behind Posh Wash – celebrating their 30th anniversary this year – hit upon the idea of using drones for those hard to reach cleaning spots high above the traditional reach.
Whether it was skyscraper offices, rooftop solar panels or monuments sitting in the clouds, Andrew reckoned it would make a lot of sense to take the vertigo and the long man hours out of the equation.
“And that was when myself and the missus, Sharon, started looking into how we could adopt drones for such work,” the lad tells us this morning. “It took over two years to put all the pieces together – we had to have a specialist drone built in France, for example – but it’s been such a game-changer for us.
