So Long, Farewell

Boom!

he time has come to say goodbye.

It has been a pleasure over the last 6 years working on the Greystones Guide and I have enjoyed my time building the site from a little site builder to the large site it is today. I have always tried to keep the site positive and I think I might have achieved that. I hope you all found the site a good place to visit.

A few words of thanks

Thank You to the Featured Businesses who are the backbone of the site all through the years, the featured businesses are the reason the site continues to operate. So thank you for supporting Greystones Guide and you all have been a pleasure to deal with.

Thank You to our wonderful photographer John McGowan who kept us all in the picture when it came to the big events in the town, his photographs captured many many people and the album section was always popular and busy.  Also John took over the posting  on the site last year when I had to step down for a while and he did a great job and I thank him sincerely for that.

Thank You to the Greystones Community, to all local organisations and clubs, to Brian Traynor, to Ciaran Coughlan, to all our Facebook and Twitter fans, to our Town Councillors, to our Wicklow TDs, and to everyone who contributed big and small to the website during my time at the helm, too numerous to mention everyone. All of you helped to keep the site running and grow over the years.

I would like to introduce Paul Byrne who is now running  the Greystones Guide and I would ask for your patience as there is a lot to take onboard and it will take Paul a while to get up to speed on everthing, I wish Paul all the best and hope the Greystones Guide will  contiinue evolving over the coming years and I hope Paul will enjoy it all as much as I did.

So on that note I bid you farewell and sign off from the Greystones Guide – It has been a pleasure…
