‘Tis a busy place, that Something Nice, and sure how could it not be, having won GG’s coveted Greystones’ Yummiest Ice Cream 2017 award…?
And now, with all the votes having been counted up for 2018, you’ll never guess who’s gone and won again.
Yep, Something Nice are plainly doing something right when it comes to everyone’s favourite sunny day treat, the good, old-fashing, heart-cooling and head-spinning ’99.
Trying to grab either Peter or Susan – the happy, loving couple behind Something Nice – for five minutes on a Sunday afternoon might not have been the wisest move on GG’s part though.
Jaysus, the flow of wide-eyed kids and lip-smacking parents this afternoon seemed never-ending.
Finally, with Susan taking the reins with both hands, we managed to grab Pete on his own, to try and find out where this love of ice cream came from, how the Speidal/Brassington dynasty came together for this sweetly bonkers venture, and, hey, what’s the secret to their continued, award-winning success…
We’ll have our Greystones Best Coffee vote up Monday evening, kids. So, unless you want to sleep with Sinatra, you know who to vote for.
