t’s days like today that we’re reminded just what they mean by the Christmas spirit…

Seeing a convoy of mini-buses heading down La Touche Road, the happy faces of students from St Catherine’s Special School said it all.

This was their big day out, with Santa, a fire engine, music, gifts and yummy, yummy food. And this annual event had all been put together by another bunch of students, teacher Laura Courtney sparking her 6th year pupils from St David’s Secondary School.

It’s almost enough to make you love your fellow man.

Here’s St Catherine’s giving some thanks and praise for a magical day…

An incredible festive event was held by the pupils in St. David’s Secondary School who welcomed their neighbours St. Catherine’s Special School.

6th year co-ordinator Laura and her band of merry helpers pulled out all of the stops. This year’s event – which is one of the highlights of the festive period in our school – saw a visit from Santa, a disco, thoughtful gifts for each student, and a mouth-watering spread of edible delights.

Every pupil who was involved is a credit to their parents and to St. David’s School. Today your actions were kind, empathetic, compassionate and generous. Reflective of the true essence of this festive season.
