he ridiculously good weather we’ve been having of late has meant that
just about everyone and her brother has been flocking to the seafront these days.
As any experienced swimmer will tell you though, when it comes to the sea, nowhere is entirely safe. Especially if the conditions in the water suddenly turn against you, with one such case occurring in Greystones this afternoon.
young swimmers get into trouble, and first two girls were rescued by Kate Bowen Evans, who was strong enough to handle the increasingly dangerous waves.
Joining in the rescue soon after for another two girls were Daire Devine and Eoghan O’Longhaigh, and then David Rooney, helping to pull the girls to safety.
