Who you gonna call…?
fter the main suspect in the recent hoax bomb threat at the home of Simon Harris was arrested earlier month, and a woman in her 50s was detained on August 15th for the May protest outside the Taoiseach’s house, another woman, in her 60s, was arrested today.

Michael Murray
She is the third person to be arrested out of over a dozen at that particular protest.
In regard to the bomb hoax arrest, all the Gardaí would reveal is that it was of a man in his 50s.
Formerly of Seafield Road, Killiney, 54-year-old Michael Murray – a convicted rapist with previous on this front – is believed to be the man in question.
He was given an additional two years in prison in March for making a hoax bomb threat to Minister Helen McEntee’s home.
Murray is currently serving 19 years behind bars for the brutal abduction and rape of a woman in 2013, plus another 16 years for death threats directed at his victim and the prosecuting lawyers in that trial.
The belief is that Murray used another inmate’s identification number to place a call to the Samaritans from his landing in the Midlands Prison.
Inmates are given a handset for the purpose of calling permitted numbers, including the Samaritans helpline, a service that is now being called into doubt.
The June 26th call claiming there was a bomb at Simon Harris’ home was traced back to an inmate serving a sentence in Wheatfield Prison.
Addressing the call, Harris has said that it was “clearly an unacceptable situation”, going on to state, “Even the word hoax, I’m not sure, is a fair
word, as I’ve no doubt these things are done to intimidate and upset. I have young children, I have a wife…”
The bomb threat is part a string of threats made against politicians and their family in recent months, whilst arrests were made on June 20th following protests at the Harris home on June 14th and May 2nd. Gardaí are currently establishing the identity behind an Instagram post last weekend threatening the Taoiseach and his family that they deemed “especially sinister”.
