himself stolen this Christmas.And it was more than one, as two figurines were taken from an independent bookshop, Tales For Tadpoles, on Albert’s Walk in Bray.
Talking to noted hack Tom Galvin of The Wicklow Mick, owner Caroline Sullivan was both shocked and saddened by the daylight theft of the Jim Shore creations.
“It’s an expensive brand,” she explained, “and normally I get less expensive items, like tree decorations, but I went all-out this year and got the big figurines. And they’re handmade and hand-painted, and collectible. One of them was €120, so that is literally the most expensive thing in the shop.”
The other figurine was selling for €70, and given their uniqueness, the hope is that they may very well be found.
