The Fairies Have Landed

hile the rest of you were scratching your Sunday morning, Emma Jane Rushworth was being a true artist, busy all day setting her latest creations free from her Greystones workshop.

It was a beautiful day for it, her Celtic couple Oberon and Sofia glittering in the Good Friday afternoon sun. Hubby Paul had been up at Powerscourt before the break of dawn, to get some shots of these fairies in their natural habit.

And now, the ancient lovebirds have set up home in Greystones Studios, where they will forever hover above visitors’ heads as they ascend the stairs, with an army of kaleidoscopic butterflies flitting and fluttering between them.

Carrying with them messages of love, no doubt.

We caught up with Emma, to ask her how it all came together, whilst below, you can try and induce a little vertigo as that faithful husband merrily risks life and neck to make sure his wife’s latest artistic expression get to soar just as high as their little wings can carry them…
