The Liam Kelly Memorial Run

he Garden Of Ireland Vintage Car Club will be hosting their annual Liam Kelly Memorial Run over the first weekend in September.

It’s a chance for lovers of classic cars to come together for a spin, some fun, and to remember their old friend.

After a meet & greet on Friday at 8.30pm, the centrepiece run is on Saturday 6th, starting out with a 9.30am registration at, as always, The Grove Bar in Willow Grove. After an 11.30am to 4pm drive through the Wicklow countryside, it’s back to the club’s favourite drinking hole again for the presentation of The Liam Kelly Memorial Cup, followed by a buffet meal – and a hooley – at 8pm in The Parkview Hotel in Newtown. On the Sunday, there will be a poker run, with no charge for any cars registered for the run on Saturday.
