he lady packs enough positivity to light up the whole of Greystones for the night and still have enough spark left to make everyone a hearty breakfast.

Yep, Fatima Ganter is a ball of happy energy, and she’s keen to get this town on its feet.

So everyone can jump around to a funky groove or two, and get that endorphin kick that comes with feeling healthy – and feeling connected to your fellow Greystonian.

Under the umbrella of the Marina Wellness Club, Fatima has big plans for us all.

Just what they are, and how they got here, we asked the lady herself to explain…

In 2020, my husband and I moved to Greystones, expecting our first baby. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we’d stepped into a living hologram — surrounded by stunning sea and mountain views, and, most importantly, a vibrant community of incredible people.

Greystones quickly became more than just a place to live — it became a place where wellness is a way of life.

In March 2021, during the pandemic, I began offering Zumba classes to my neighbours. What started as a simple way to stay connected soon blossomed into something more. It was then that Marina Wellness Club was born — a space for wellness, fitness, and connection that was deeply rooted in the community.

Marina Wellness Club has one core mission: to make wellness accessible to all ages and levels by creating a vibrant hub. Believing in the power of nature and the energy of the group, we became the first and only outdoor wellness hub in Greystones. Offering a variety of fitness, wellness and fun experiences, we bring together a talented community of practitioners committed to health, connection, and the healing energy of the outdoors.

From next summer 2025 we are introducing our donation-based model, to ensure that everyone in Greystones can experience the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of wellness, regardless of their financial situation. We are committed to creating a community-focused nonprofit that offers a range of wellness services and supports local wellness practitioners.

Looking ahead, the future is exciting and ambitious. For 2025, we’re thrilled to announce the creation of the first edition of Greystones Magazine for Wellbeing and Lifestyle (©All rights reserved).

This magazine will be available both in printed and digital formats, and displayed on large screens in key strategic locations throughout Greystones. The magazine will serve as a celebration of wellness, fitness, and fun, showcasing the people, businesses, and events that promote a healthier, more vibrant lifestyle in our community.

We want to include everyone — whether you’re a wellness practitioner, fitness instructor, or someone who simply promotes wellbeing. This magazine will be a resource for the community and a reflection of the incredible energy that makes Greystones such a wellness hotspot. As we look to summer 2025, we are planning exciting wellness events, workshops classes and more, all taking place outdoors at Marina Wellness Club in Marina Village.

From fitness classes and wellness workshops to community events that connect us all, we’re dedicated to bringing people together in the beauty of nature. The outdoor setting at Marina Village offers the perfect backdrop for this, and we can’t wait to share it with you. In the meantime, throughout this winter, we’ll continue offering indoor classes, partnering with local venues to provide a warm and welcoming space for our community.
