Return Of The Teenage Disco

Everybody dance now…

t feels like forever since we’ve had a disco around here, especially one for those young enough to actually dance for more than 10 minutes without collapsing in a heap.

Space Junior Disco Nights tried some outings in The Rugby Club quite a decade ago, and before that, hey, it was Phaze at Club Life in The La Touche Hotel.

About, eh, 25 years ago.

So, there were a lot of happy parents and giddy young offspring when groovy local couple Gary and Lindsey Lonergan decided that their kids really needed somewhere to let their hair down and their funkiness to get on up.

And the duo have form, Gary running Circular Events whilst Lindsey put together Bougie Bingo in Druids Glen last year, raising €12,500 for Gaza in the process.

And so the two came together, and Fuse Teen Events was born, their first outings being two St Patrick’s Day events – a Teen Disco on Friday, March 20th for 1st and 2nd year kids, and a Club Night on Saturday 21st for 3rd and 4th years.

Both run from 8pm to 10.30pm, and both take place at The Parkview Hotel in Newtown.
