ure, with all the shenanigans going on in this great town of ours every single day, we somehow managed to take our eye of this year’s Breakfast of Champions vote.

And so it was, once we recognised that this year’s public vote hadn’t quite sparked, we got in touch with some of the town’s finest foodies – including the great Brian Keeley – to get their opinion of who in Greystones serves the best breakfast.

In the end, after much chomping and chewing, buttering and badgering, two clear winners emerged – the mighty Three Q’s and the possibly even-mightier Sweeney’s Café.

Boom!

We swung down to Joe’s this evening to present the deserving winners with their fittingly cheap-as-chips framed awards, and to have a little chat about just what exactly goes into a good breakfast. Or did we talk about the Middle East…? We forget.

Thankfully, Paul’s beautiful daughter, Freya, was there to stop any fisticuffs breaking out over who really had the finer sausage…
