For some though, it’s the perfect time for taking, given that most homes have got brand new goodies aplenty.

Which may explain the break-in at Bellevue Park on Christmas Eve, missing bikes over in Charlesland, and a reported spate of car break-ins over in Kilcoole.

So, if you are going out, make sure to lock up your house – and your car – as tightly as possible. 

And keep an eye out for your neighbours’ houses when you are home, as a good pair of eyes can spot a suspicious scumbag from a mile off.

With the lockdown giving us a lock-in Christmas, let’s all keep watch for those who really need to be locked up.
