Steps are BACK!

t was a welcome step back in time down at SuperValu Greystones on Tuesday night, as the lights dimmed, the PA skedaddled, and someone put a sock in the piped music.

It’s all the brainchild of Wicklow Triple A Alliance, the local organisation who offer support to families affected by autism, Aspergers Syndrome and ADHD.

A quiet night’s shopping, running from 7pm to 9.30pm, that’s free from all the usual crash, bang and bright lights, designed especially for those who find the din of modern living a little hard to bear.

In Greystones to help launch the inaugural night were a motley crew from Triple A, including Barbara Hallahan and her patient son, Seamus, fugitive Aisling Foran and local legend Alice O’Donnell, with the mighty Paddy Holohan on hand to make sure everything rang smoothly.

And indeed, it did. So much so, this might just be our new Tuesday night hangout spot. One that Lidl has signed up for too.
