Expectant parents in Wicklow can join a brand new weekend workshop to help them thrive after their baby’s birth.

On Saturday, April 25th and Sunday 26th at the Rose Clinic in Bray, experienced postpartum doula Ceara McManus will help local parents prepare for the postpartum period with practical skills and knowledge to support mothers to recover from birth and parents smoothly transition into parenthood.

“So much emphasis is placed on pregnancy and birth, but we rarely give thought to what happens when you get home with your newborn,” said McManus. “This workshop helps families feel prepared, supported, and nurtured for that very vulnerable time.”

“The effects of these early postpartum weeks can last for years. My plan is to educate and prepare expectant mothers and couples so they can avoid the worst of the stress and instead lay some strong, lasting foundations for the years ahead.”
