Water Babies Are GO!

iven that we live right by the water, it’s pretty much a given that we should all have our wits about it when it comes to the sea.

And this afternoon, down at The Cove, Max and I stumbled upon some kids who were making sure of just that, as they took some lifesaving lessons.

The brainchild of John Doyle and Poseidon Lifesavers Club – who rocked the RLSS UK National Speed Life Saving Championships back in March – was founded in 2010, and these one-week classes are concerned primarily with safety around water, including CPR, for children between 8 and 18.

We spoke with young John as the latest batch of future lifeguard candidates went through their latest fitness and smartness tests…
