henever we do our annual round-up of Greystonians’ favourite Christmas toys, there’s always that one Woody, bike, playhouse or game.
That one toy that really hit the spot, forever and ever, Eamon.
Which is why we reckon DluluKaloo is such a fantastic idea. The brainchild of Greystones mum-of-two Vicky Noble, firstly, DluluKaloo (her daughters’ first two words meshed; pronounced ‘DluluKaloo‘) is all about the everlasting wooden toy. Secondly – and here comes the twist – you can rent them by the month. And then, just hand them back.
Or, if your kid has fallen in love with a toy, buy it, with that rental charge going out the window.
But hey, enough of our yakking. Over to the woman of the hour…
Vicky is my name and I am a mum of two very gorgeous but very fussy kids – they get bored of their toys very easily.
So, inspired by my kids and wanting a better future world for them too – with as little plastic as possible – led to me setting up my little wooden toy rental shop DluluKaloo in October 2020.
Not only because I adore wooden toys myself but also to help other parents experience them at a very affordable price – and so reduce the waste and parents’ expenditure on stuff that kids may only look at for a few minutes and never play with again!
We have a wide selection of wooden toys, big and small – various sizes of balance boards, Waldorf Rockers, Pickler triangles, kitchen helpers and many, many, many more. You can rent anything you like for a month and at the end of the month, there is an option to keep something (or everything) if your child really likes it.
If you decide to keep it – no rental fee charged! You can also opt to buy toys without renting – new or used, there is always an option for everyone!
Eh, think we might have found ourselves a genius here.
