Kathleen & co tot up the bills…
t’s the first of what is hoped to be many such mornings, as the Holy
Rosary played host to A Women’s Breakfast Gathering.
Some may have been there for the yummy pastries, but most were there to share their stories of faith, and discuss the female perspective.
Each get-together will feature a different special guest, offering a chance for those attending to discuss a whole new aspect of their faith, and how it fits into the modern world.
Over to Holy Rosary’s Evelyn Cawley for the lowdown on today…
A Women’s Breakfast Gathering – the first in a series of Women of Faith gatherings – took place in Kilian House Family Centre, Greystones on Thursday 26th September.
The special guest at the gathering was Aoife Kelly de Klerk, photographer and artist. Irish-born Aoife spent 14 years living in South Africa, returning to the East Coast of Ireland in 2022 with a deep-seated desire to further explore her faith through fine art photography.
Her interest lies in belief, belonging, and empathy.
Her work invites the viewer into a contemplative space where time slows, and solace is offered in the prospect of the relational.
This is the first in a series of gatherings and conversations of women on faith.
These will happen over the coming months, on how our faith supports us in life and sharing those moments with each other.
As places maybe limited at these gatherings, please send an expression of interest on email here.
A big thanks, as always, to John McGowan for capturing the day. Full gallery of hi-res pics here.
