All You Seed Is Love

First things first…

s summer approaches, it’s time for Greystonians to check and see if the world outside their window might need a little TLC.

And maybe even a short, back and sides.

It’s been a wet spring, with lots of plants growing up to 11, which would explain why so many men are currently busily trimming back an overgrown bush so their deck looks bigger.

As anyone lucky enough to have a garden will tell you, keeping Greystones beautiful extends beyond that white picket fence though.  And right now, the likes of (deep breath) Church Road, La Touche Place, La Touche Road, Kimberley Road, Rathdown Road, Victoria, Kindlestown Lower and Mill Road are looking more a little stoned right now.

Man, there’s a whole lotta weed.

Of course, we do have those wonderful volunteers in Greystones Tidy Towns looking after much of the flower beds and verges around the town, but covering every inch of sod is somewhat of an impossibility. Unless there are more hands on deck.

Meeting up on Saturday mornings at 10am and Tuesday evenings at 7pm, if you’re free at either or both of those times, Marie and the gang would love to have you along. Just email them on [email protected].

Alternatively, you can form your own little tidy towns group to look after the street where you live. And if being part of a gang isn’t your thing, you can always elect to adopt a small patch and make it shine. And blossom.
