ollowing Happy Pear Shoreline last week and Mooch across the road last month, Shoe Lane Coffee on Church Road have announced their closure.

Sad news, if hardly shocking, given that traffic there had been notably quiet for some time.

Seems like only yesterday we interviewed the town’s new arrivals.

Posting on their social media this afternoon, owners Johno and Jane stated…

We regret to announce the permanent closure of our Greystones location. Rising costs, persistent staffing difficulties, excessive rates + a number of other factors have lead to this unavoidable outcome. It was not a decision we made lightly and we had little to no choice in it, regretfully.

We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts our wonderful regulars in the Greystones community, the local businesses who welcomed us with open arms and of course our amazing team there, many of whom will continue to work with us in our Dun Laoghaire location. 

Dun Laoghaire and Tara Street ain’t going nowhere so please do come visit us there!
