Pete O’Neill 29MAR17
e’s a sound man, young Pete O’Neill – one of the soundest guys you could ever hope to meet, in fact.
It seems pretty much inevitable then, given the man’s love of music, and being up way past everyone else’s bedtime, that Pete would finally find his way to bending, shaping and creating music.
Going under the banner of Sonic Chambers, the BIFE exhibition brings together Pete and his fellow student’s wilder side when it comes to experimenting with sound, from playground feedback swings to red carpets that trigger applause, from meditation bowls that trip off electronic waves to an auto-tune karaoke machine that makes you sound every bit as good as the booze convinced you.
Running from 11am to 8pm on Thursday March 30th and Friday 31st as part of the Bray Institute of Further Education’s Performing Arts Festival 2017, Sonic Chambers gives you a chance to think outside the speaker box. And maybe even find some hidden musical talents that you never knew you had.
