Three-Storey Homes At The Dart Refused

eyond living in The Burnaby or Guide Mansion, four houses planned for Bow Lane right beside Greystones Dart station would undoubtedly have proven to be most desirable for those with deep pockets.

Filed in February by CFO Construction Limited, the plans with Wicklow County Council involve developing four family homes at this town centre plot, situated right behind the much-loved and long-vacated Helena Cottage.

The development was to consist of three three-storey terraced homes and one three-storey detached house. Each of the houses would have balconies to the rear overlooking the sea. And the everyday people rushing off to work on their daily commute.

A previous application by CFO at the same location was approved in 2015, with 22 conditions. This time, their application hasn’t been approved, as WCC felt that ‘the proposed development would not result in the application site being developed at a sufficiently high density to ensure the efficient use of these serviced lands.

‘The proposed development would therefore be contrary to proper planning and development.’
