n initiative happening in branches of Boots all across Ireland the UK, anyone suffering from domestic abuse can now take refuge in their local branch of the chemist chain.

And that includes, of course, the Boots in Greystones.

With a 25% rise in domestic violence calls since the lockdown began, these new consultation rooms will give victims a safe space as they contact services for help and advice.

Anyone – man, woman or child –  suffering at the hands of their partners, or others, need only say the words ‘Purple Mask’ to any member of Boots staff, and they will immediately be taken to the consultation room.
