ulling together this year’s Halloween shenanigans for Greystones and beyond, we stumbled upon the above pic.
Taken at one of the fancy dress fundraisers for the Greystones Baton Twirlers, it struck us that these nights were always the happiest, wildest party nights of the year.
And given these never-ending lockdowns, and the creeping caution that will probably be with us for months to come, it’s important to remember that there will be nights like this again.
Once everyone’s willing to dress up and look incredibly silly, that is.
And get down and row, row, row your boat for The Gap Band’s Oops, Upside Your Head.
Of course, having everyone’s good friend John McGowan behind the camera made these shots particularly wonderful, everyone smiling for the camera, no matter how scary they were supposed to be.
